Blurb:
The saying goes that there is a fine line between love and hate...but what happens when the line becomes blurred?
When life hands Phoebe Andrews her dream job, she’s ecstatic. That is, until she realizes that in order to pursue her dream she’ll have to give up her cosmopolitan lifestyle in Chicago and move to Nashville. As if leaving all she knows behind wasn’t enough, a car accident on her first day in town does nothing to convince the city girl that country living is all it’s cracked up to be.
As an only child, Dean Montgomery has obligations—obligations which have left him angry at the world. Just as his monotone life has begun to leave him jaded, he is brought back to earth with a bang...literally.
Fate conspires to bring the city girl and the country boy together, but can Dean stay out of trouble long enough for the pair to test the boundaries of their tempestuous relationship?

Review
3.5 - 4 stars
Phoebe Andrews aka Barbie is leaving Chicago to start a new job in Nashville. Little does she know that her move isn’t the only thing that will happen to her. A minor car accident leaves her with some stitches on her head, a wrist injury & the need for someone to watch her. She’s blaming the accident & her injuries on Dean Montgomery. She isn’t very pleasant to him and almost comes across as bitchy. Poor Dean, I immediately felt sorry for him having to listen to her. This young man was only on an errand for his father and the accident wasn’t his fault.
I don’t want to give any spoilers here…..but both their worlds are about to be shaken up a little bit. There is an innocent, well almost innocent attraction between these two and I enjoyed how things played out. Dean and Phoebe try to be civil to one another while fighting their attraction as much as they can…..but come on, we can only take so much. Right?? And when Dean comes home a little drunk was cute. This story takes place on a big farm. I can relate to this in some ways because my Mom had a small farm & I loved every moment I spent there. This is the perfect setting for Dean and Phoebe.
I loved Dean’s Mom, Emily. She’s a sweet, caring, kind woman and takes an immediate liking to Phoebe. Dean’s father, Keith, is a little gruff with his son, but totally sweet to Phoebe. The way he talks/treats Dean made me feel sorry for him. I don’t know why he was like this, but near the end of the story he’s a lot nicer. And I did enjoy the family moments the Montgomery family had & showed Phoebe.
All in all, this was a sweet romance story that I did get swept up in. It takes you from the day they meet each other to a couple of years after. The words flowed well from page to page & I kept wanting to find out what was going to happen next with Dean & Phoebe. I will read this author again.
