Beneath This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas ~ Review

Synopsis:

Jesse Ward drowned her with his intensity and blindsided her with his passion, but he kept her away from his dark secrets and broken soul. Leaving him was the only way Ava O'Shea could survive. She should have known that Jesse Ward is impossible to escape--and now he's back in her life, determined to remind her of the sensual pleasures they had shared. Ava is equally determined to get at the truth beneath this man's steely exterior. That means letting herself get close to the Lord of the Manor once more. And it's exactly where Jesse wants her--within touching distance...

Review

This is one of those series that you are either going to love or hate.  When Jessie and Ava's relationship is good, they are really GOOD together and when they are bad, they are really BAD together! I waited until I had all three books in my hands to dive in so I didn't have to wait for the complete series.  I personally love this series and I  DEVOURED Beneath This Man. 4 stars

This book picks right back up where This Man left off. Both of them are broken and wrecked and their relationship is ruined and Jesse is self-destructive.  Even after everything they are lost without each other and you can feel their despair and heart-ache.

Feeling like they can't desert each other, they reunite and try to get their relationship back.  Things get very intense....Jesse is still the crazy, strong, controlling, dominate alpha-male but we see a weak side of him as his feelings for Ava intensify.....Ave truly holds the power because she holds the ability to break Jesse. Ava continues to be overwhelmed by Jesse and his crazy, neurotic controlling habits and she continues to defy him but she also can't picture her life without him. Of course, defying Jesse means HOT STEAMY make-up sex.....and good lord of the manor.....the scenes were smoldering! Just when we think Jesse and Ava have it together secrets are revealed and they have to wonder if their crazy intense relationship is really any good for them?

Beneath This Man is a beautiful, crazy, gripping, tortuous romance that you just can't put down.  Now off to book number 3, This Man Confessed!
