Review

This is just a sweet love story, nothing over the top, no major drama.....just a good old sweet love story about two lost souls that find each other and help each other heal.  I really loved the fact that this book is told completely from the male (Ashton's) POV.  3.5 stars

“I am a devoted son, responsible brother, trusted friend, excellent student, and a good fuck. I’ve been told I’m talented. And I suppose things come easy to me. My life seems perfect.”

Aston lost his father 4 years ago and ever since then he has been the man of the house, the rock of his family.  He gave up his dreams of playing professional baseball and a full ride scholarship to attend college closer to his family. Problem is, Ash is really not living his life to the fullest, he is just going through the motions and taking care of his family instead of seeking his own happiness.  He doesn't really feel....he uses sex and his "flavor of the months" to try to fill the void that is missing in his life but when they get too close to him he gets rid of them.  Then Ash meets Cara and everything changes....she is THAT girl, the one he'll change everything for.

Cara is not living her life, her life growing up was not the greatest. She has lost her parents in a crash and it is just her and her sister.  She keeps her feelings at bay and hides behind a pair of gigantic glasses so people don't really see who she is. Then she meets Ash, and Ash sees her for the kind, caring, beautiful person who she is and he slowly wears down her walls and gets her to open up.  Can these two emotional damaged people help each other heal and find their HEA in all the grief?

“I was afraid, but I’m not anymore. I was unsure, but I’m more sure than ever. My world was dark, “her eyes meet mine, “but you’ve filled it with light. I was hiding from the world, but I don’t want to hide from you.”

If your looking for a sweet new adult romance this one is for you!!

About the Author

I am a wife, a mom, an author, and a lover of all things chocolate, well, anything sweet really. While stuffing chocolate in my face, I enjoy reading young adult and new adult novels furiously, and spending time with my husband and two adorable children who keep me on my peppermint pink painted toes. Those same children who inspire me to tell silly stories that cause hysterical giggles to tumble from their bellies.

I love to laugh and love to have a good cry, especially after reading a novel that stretches my soul, one that makes me feel, and lingers in the corner of my heart.

I’m a hopeless romantic and a happily ever after fanatic, and I love to write about LOVE.

I began writing when I was in middle school, penning anything from short stories, to poetry, and then later moved on to write children’s books. I have now endeavored into New Adult and Contemporary Romance novels and am loving every minute of it. My first novel, Love Love, was released in May, 2013.
