Never Too Far by Abbi Glines ~ Cover Reveal

“It had been three weeks, four days and twelve hours since I’d seen her. Since she’d torn my heart out. If I had been drinking, I’d blame it on the alcohol. It had to be an illusion; a desperate one. But I hadn’t been drinking. Not a drop. There was no mistaking Blaire. It was her. She was actually here.
Blaire was back in Rosemary.”

A Very Horseman Wedding Eva & Deuce ~ Undeniable bonus scene by Madeline Sheehan

We are so EXCITED to post this bonus scene from Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan

A Very Horsemen Wedding
Deuce & Eva
By Madeline Sheehan

Deuce wasn’t gonna lie. His hair pulled tightly back, dressed in his leathers, a clean white tee and his Horsemen cut, standing there in the middle of a mother fucking gazebo, decorated with mother fucking flowers, he felt damn uncomfortable. Didn’t help that Mick, Cox, and Ripper were laughing at him and standing across from them was Kami, Danny and Dorothy, all dressed in matching black dresses, also laughing at him.

Yeah, real fucking funny. Bet they wouldn’t think it was funny if he pulled out his glock and took out their knees. Except for Danny. He wouldn’t shoot his baby. Just glare at her until she ran away. Which she wouldn’t because she never did, because she wasn’t scared of him. His feisty little girl had her mother’s tough as nails personality. Funny that Danny being the way she was didn’t bother him in the least but her mother, his ex Christine, had irked him to no end.

Nostrils flaring, shifting uncomfortably, he glared at the minister, an older woman with long white hair, dressed in white and purple robes, smiling serenely back at him.

He caught himself before he growled at her.

Why the fuck was he getting married?

Again?

Because he sure as fuck fucked it up the last time. He didn’t know the first thing about how to be a…husband. All he knew, all he’d ever known was how to be a provider. To make sure the people he loved were safe, well fed and warm and in Danny’s case and now Eva and Ivy’s, spoiled shitless too. Although, he figured the giant shoe pile of chucks in his foyer was a pretty good tradeoff for the woman he had in his bed.

But a husband…

He didn’t do husband. What the fuck did husbands do anyway? He sure as hell didn’t do it right with Christine. She had wanted so much more from him then he’d been willing to give. Then he’d known how to give. She’d wanted to bend him to her will, own him even.

Aw, jesus…he couldn’t pretend to be someone he wasn’t. He couldn’t put a ring on Eva’s finger. He couldn’t fuck her up like he had Christine. Like he did everything.

“Prez,” Mick whispered, leaning over.

His head snapped left. “What?” He snarled.

Mick’s lips twitched. “Nothin’ Prez, just thought maybe you’d wanna watch your bitch walkin’ down the aisle.” Mick’s chin jerked left and his gaze followed.

And suddenly he didn’t give two fucks about how he was gonna fare as a husband or how many mistakes he was gonna make, which was gonna be a lot because, well…that was what he was best at.
No, he didn’t care about anything else in the world except for his woman, the sweetest kid he’d ever met, the smartest too, a kid who’d turned into the sexiest woman he’d ever seen, a woman who didn’t just love with her whole heart but with her body and soul, a woman who, time and time again, brought him to his fucking knees, had him praying to a god he didn’t believe in just so he could keep her by his side.

A woman whose mother-fucking smile made the world and life seem somewhat livable. Even worth it sometimes.

On the arm of Preacher, her old man, was his Eva. Her soft hair hung long in dark brown waves, her makeup was minimal and her dress was a simple, strapless white cotton sundress that hung to her knees. His gaze traveled down her silky smooth legs to her feet and his chest constricted. Black chucks. And not just any black chucks but her oldest pair. Ratty, doodled on, coming apart at the seams, the same one’s she’d been wearing the very first time he’d kissed her back when she’d been way too young for him and he’d lost complete control of himself and his better judgment.

Eva came to a stop at the bottom step of the gazebo and looked up at him, her big gray eyes shining, her juicy lips twitching something fierce, trying not to smile while Preacher straight up glared at him. He glared back. If her old man wanted a fight he was gonna get one.

“Yo, Prez,” Cox laughed, “You’re gonna wanna go get her, yeah?”

Oh. Right.

He strode forward, taking all three steps at once and grabbed Eva away from Preacher and started yanking her back up the stairs. The faster they could get this shit over with the faster he could get her alone. And set to working on kid number two.

Preacher yanked her back and the two of them spent another good minute glaring at one another.
“You’ll always be my baby girl,” Preacher whispered, giving Eva a kiss on the cheek while shooting daggers at him.

Yeah fucking right, he thought as he finished dragging Eva up the steps. Eva was his. All his. Ain’t no man, not even her father should be thinking otherwise.

“I have a bra on,” Eva whispered, unable to fight her grin any longer. “It’s my something new.”
He couldn’t help himself and burst out laughing. She was just so damn…perfect.

“Something old,” She continued, pointing at her feet.

“Something borrowed.” She grabbed his gold Horsemen’s tag around her neck. The one that had “Deuce” inscribed on the back.

“Borrowed for fuckin’ ever,” He said gruffly. Ain’t no way she was ever giving that back.
Her grin grew.

“My dress is white,” She continued, “And I’m wearing your blue boxers.”

The entire wedding party roared with laughter.

“Oh Evie,” Kami sighed, “I told you not to do that!”

“Fuckin’ hell,” He muttered, grabbing her arm and turning her towards the minister. “Let’s get this fuckin’ circus over with’,” He growled.

Still smiling, although shooting Eva strange looks, the minister ushered them closer. “Ready?” The minister asked.

“Fuck yeah,” He said gruffly. “This bitch is mine.”

This time the entire yard erupted in laughter. Except for Eva. She was staring up at him, her smile wide, her eyes soft. Damn those eyes, drowning him in nothing but Eva.

“I, Eva Fox, take you, Cole West, to be my beloved husband,” Eva softly repeated. “To have and to hold you, to honor you, to treasure you, to be at your side in sorrow and in joy, in the good times, and in the bad, and to love and cherish you always. I promise you this, baby, from the bottom of my heart, for all the days of my life.”

He stared down at her, burning with a whole mess of emotions he was helpless to turn off. Burning because he knew he’d never get enough of her, burning because he wanted to pick her up, take her inside the clubhouse, strip her naked and knock her up again just to make sure she’d never leave. Burning because after all the shit they went through, the pain, the loss, the heartache, the straight up evil brutality that made them question everything they’d thought to be true and had nearly driven them apart for good, he knew he’d do anything for her…steal anything, kill anyone…be anyone…

Even a fucking husband.

“Baby,” Eva whispered, grinning. “It’s your turn.”

He glanced over at the waiting minister, then back at Eva. “What she said,” He grunted. Then he turned to their guests.

“This is it,” He bellowed. “This here is me and fuckin’ Eva and this is our fuckin’ road and anyone who doesn’t like it, anyone who’s got somethin’ fucked up to say, can get the fuck off our road!”

The crowd, his boys, their family and friends, even Preacher, erupted in happy jeers and raucous laughter.

“You may kiss your bride,” The minister sighed, shaking her head.

He didn’t waste any time, he grabbed his woman, his wife, his Eva and lifted her off her feet and crushed her to him. Her legs wrapped around his waist, her arms around his neck and their mouths crashed together.

“Bout fuckin’ time!” Blue bellowed from his place at the bar.

Born to be Wild blasted through the outside speakers and drowned out the cheering.

Eva pulled away laughing, happy tears rolling down her cheeks. He curled his hand into a fist and ran his knuckles down the side of her face.

“There it is,” He whispered.

“What?” She whispered back.

“You Eva. Just fuckin’ you.”

Mick rolled his eyes. “Idiots,” He muttered. “I’m surrounded by idiots.”

Kami threw herself across the aisle at Cox.

Dorothy buried her face in her hands, her veil of red hair shielding her from view, and burst into tears.

And Danny…he paused to study his oldest daughter.

“Mama!” Ivy cried out, gunning for Eva. Eva turned away from him to bend down and catch their daughter as she toddled into her arms.

He turned back to Danny, worried about the strange expression on her face. He followed her line of sight to…

Ripper.

They appeared to be having some kind of staring contest, the rest of the world forgotten, no winner in sight.

“Yo, Danny!” ZZ said, appearing beside his daughter, startling her. She turned to ZZ.
“You wanna dance?”

Danny shot one last look at Ripper, turned back to ZZ and nodded. He watched them walk off already planning on how many different ways he was gonna beat ZZ to death, then got up in his Sgt. at Arms face.

“What was that?” He growled.

Ripper eyed him boldly. “What was what?”

His nostrils flared. “You. Danny. What. Was. It.”

“Baby,” Eva said, wedging herself in between them. “I wanna dance.”

Of course she did. She always had him doing stupid shit like dancing. And for some reason he was always doing it even though he fucking hated it.

“Later,” He promised Ripper and allowed his new wife to drag him off.

“When can we get the fuck outta here?” He asked her.

Laughing, she wrapped her arms around his neck and tucked her beautiful body against his. “I love you Deuce,” She giggled. “So, so much.”

“Babe,” He said softly, holding her tightly, “Fuckin’ yeah.”

“One more thing,” She said.

“Yeah?”

“You’re mine.”

He grinned. He sure as fuck was.

THE END.

Where I Need to Be by Kimberly Knight Blog Tour ~ Review and Giveaway

Summary:

Spencer Marshall was done moping. After catching her boyfriend cheating with his secretary, she decides to have a girl's weekend in Vegas with her best friend Ryan. Lady Luck must be looking out for Spencer, because that weekend will change her life forever. Despite what people say, not everything stays in Vegas.

Review

I must say I was a little surprised by this book.....I really thought the majority of it would revolve around Vegas, or what happened in Vegas, and that MORE would happen in Vegas but it was really such a small part of the book. It was still a good read though, 3.5 stars for me.

Spencer had just caught her boyfriend of two years, Travis, sleeping with his secretary.  To get her out of the house her friend Ryan suggests she go to a new gym and this is where she meets Brandon.  After several encounters with Brandon, Vegas included, they start a relationship and they both fall hard and fast.  They are faced with obstacles along the way.....like crazy, crazy ex-girlfriend drama but they love each other enough to try and make their relationship work.

This book was probably about 50% HOT and STEAMY sex.  Of course, that is always good but I would have liked to have seen a little more story line development, I had a hard time connecting with Spencer....maybe if we had more of her background, I would have loved to have seen how she felt when she caught Travis cheating, more emotion from her.

This is a good debut novel for Kimberly Knight. This book is def worth reading, especially if your looking for a quick read with drama and sex. Brandon and Spencer are such a cute couple, and of course I'm going to read Wanted which is book #2 to find out what happens next in Brandon and Spencer's relationship!

Excerpt: Mature content - 18+ older

I rocked slowly, his length filling me as I sat, my hands resting on his chest.

His fingers gently toyed with my nipples, the large, soft palms occasionally skirting down my torso to my hips to grip and guide before returning to tease the sensitive flesh.

"Behind your head," I whispered.

Reluctantly he put his hands behind his head, his biceps large and sculpted and shining with sweat in the dark of the room, the round nipples dark, the muscles of his chest firm.

He started to speak.

"Quiet," I said.

He bit his lip, his brows knitting in frustration.

I continued to move, shifting position and changing pace, my body gently overwhelmed with the coming of the storm. A storm still on the horizon, if I chose. And I did. I was in no rush.

I wanted this to last forever.

He was desperate to cum.

Again.

He moved his hips.

My nails quickly moved down his chest, lightly scratching him.

He gasped.

"Be still," I said.

I stopped.

Mental note to thank Deni for the manicure.

And the Brazilian.

"I am bigger than you," he then said.

Putting a finger to his lips, I shushed him.

"That you are," I said, picking up the pace again.

"Do you want to cum?" I then asked, my eyes on his.

He nodded.

"Yes."

"Is that what you want?" I asked again, my movements growing quick.

He nodded again, his hands moving from behind his head to guide me.

I moved off him.

He groaned, his hardness slapping against his stomach, thick and hot and dripping wet. Even in the dark, I could see him throbbing.

"Hands."

Slowly, he puts his hands behind his head.

I stood, moving to the end of the bed.

He waited before me, lying quietly, his legs spread, his arms behind his head. All tanned skin and rippling muscle and eager, desperate desire.

My hand ventured below, the fingers finding the familiar folds as I rubbed the wetness and then, his eyes on me, dipped my fingers inside.

A shiver ran through me.

His breathing grew heavy.

He moved a hand from behind his head.

"No," I said.

I know he wanted to touch himself. To grip and stroke and tease.

But no.

He would watch.

And then he would fuck me.

Hard.

Broken by J.B. McGee Book Tour ~ Review and Giveaway

Synoposis

Gabby's life has been anything but easy. She is surrounded by friends who seem to have everything she doesn't: money, social standing, and happily married parents. While dealing with the loss of her mother, she experiences her first heartbreak. She commits herself to her studies and runs away from any emotions that aren't safe. Bradley Banks, a confident CEO and commercial architect, who has long time commitment issues forces Gabby to feel again, but will he be her next heartbreak?

Adult-content rating: This book contains content considered unsuitable for young readers 17 and under, and which may be offensive to some readers of all ages.

Broken Review

I'll be honest...It took me awhile to get into this one.....flipping between the past and present kinda confused me at times to the point where I was going....What? Who was that? When? That being said, just stick with it...I did and was not disappointed.  3.5 stars from me.

This book is the story of Gabby and Bradley. Gabby struggles with issues she has faced in life like the loss of her mother, and a severely broken heart done by two people she thought she would always be able to trust.  Gabby meets Bradley at a wedding and he is a confident, cocky, wealthy CEO, who always gets what he wants from women and doesn't believe in relationships. Broken is their journey of finding true love and taking a second chance at life.

Broken is a good debut novel for J.B. It is a sweet love story that will leave you wanting more Bradley and Gabby and cheering for their relationship to work.

Mending Book #2 will be available 12/26/12

Mending Review

Where to even start....the first thing is be prepared for this book to knock your socks off! It starts out right away with a bang and about 11% in I was chewing my nails and having some major book anxiety! I love when a book does that to me! I never seen half the things coming and I love the element of surprise! I could not put it down....5 stars!

Mending starts right off with the continuation of Gabby and Bradley's story, it also takes us back in the past so we see their relationship develop.  They are in a committed relationship and Gabby is trying to work through her issues in counseling and her and Bradley seem to be in a good place.  I am not gonna give any of the story line away since this book is not yet released but all I can say is WOW.....just WOW so did not expect that!

J.B. has knocked this one out of the park and it was great to see her writing evolve from Broken.  Mending is a story about healing, trust, forgiveness, and finding that true love really does exist and is worth fighting for. A must read! Can't wait for book #3!

UnBeautifully by Madeline Sheehan Cover Reveal

Synopsis: UNBEAUTIFULLY - Danny & Ripper’s Story.

The first time I fell in love it was with a pair of blue eyes and a wide dimpled grin.

“Your old man loves ya, Danny girl,” He whispered. “You never ever forget that, yeah?”

I never did. And I never thought I could ever love any man as much as I loved my father. But as we grow, we change, we begin to make our own decisions and thus become independent and self sufficient and start turning away from our parents and turning to others. We form friendships, strong bonds and ties and begin experiencing life outside of the bubble we grew up inside of.

And we fall in love…a second time.

The second time I fell in love it was with a badly scarred face, the stuff of nightmares; the sort of disfigurement that mothers steer their children away from. Ugly, jagged slashes marred the skin from the top of his skull, down over his right eye, an eye that had been dug out of his face with a serrated blade. The scars continued across his cheek, over his lips and down his neck, ending at the top of his shoulder. His chest was a hundred times worse; scar tissue as far as the eye could see.

“Baby,” He said gruffly, “Man like me got no business with a girl like you. You’re nothin’ but fuckin’ beauty and I’m a whole lot of fuckin’ ugly who’s already halfway to hell.”

But he was wrong.

Everything has beauty. Even the ugly. Especially the ugly.
Because without ugly there would be no beauty.

Because without beauty we would not survive our pain, our sorrow, and our suffering.

And in the world I lived in, the world he lived in, a secret world within the world, a world of of constant crime and cruel, cold, death, there was almost nothing but suffering.

“You may not be beautiful the way you were before,” I whispered, placing my hand on his hard chest. “But you’re still beautiful. To me."

Our Review

Let me start of by saying I love a good love triangle.....it's my favorite kind of book! That being said, I have never been so torn between two male characters in my life! Team Jared or Team Ollie.....ughhh I'm still undecided though I'm leaning toward Jared! I give this one 4 stars.

Bound Together is the story of Layla Jennings, when moving to college in Long Beach, Layla's world get's rocked when she meets the gorgeous, pierced, guitar playing, wannabe rock star Oliver and then the handsome, rich, controlling, oh-so-yummy Jared. Throughout the story Layla falls in love with both guys and is forced to make a choice. I experienced so much frustration with Layla. I don't want to give away any of the story but know that my emotions were thrown all over the place and I could not put this book down so be prepared for the ride!

I think that Bound Together is a great debut novel, there is a very promising story line here. Of course there were little things that irritated me like Layla's repetitive running all the time, and the length of the book, but I don't feel like the issues were big enough to take away from the story. I've seen mixed reviews on this book and everyone is entitled to their own opinion....I read for fun and to entertain myself, and Bound Together def entertained me! If your looking for a sexy love triangle with lot's of angst Bound Together is for you!

Blog Tour: My Only by N.K. Smith

Summary of "My Only":

Adam Jame's life is far from perfect.  A talented drummer from a small suburb of Chicago, he keeps to himself, downplaying his abilities, thinking he is less than all those around him, including his popular twin brother.

When a free-spirited new girl with a troubled past moves in across the street, Adam's eye's are opened to a new world of possibilities.  Olivia Cartwright's philosophies on life give her a deeper understanding of the world.  An instant connection between Adam and Olivia draws them closer, but he wonders why anyone would choose him when a better version exists, particularly when Adam also takes an interest in her.

Will the friendship with Olivia change Adam, or will he continue to close himself off in his own world?

Adam has a choice to make: risk his friendship with Olivia or fight for something more.

It seems Adam has a lot to learn about love....and life.

Our Review of "My Only":

4 Stars

Do you ever start a book and you think that right from the first page that this book is going to get to me? This book is going to suck me in, pull on my heartstrings, and play with my emotions? Well that's what "My Only" did to me!  It is a beautifully written, bittersweet story about love, family, friendship, strength, and finding oneself.

"My Only" is the story of Adam, who has an identical twin Aaron, the brothers are as different as can be in every other aspect of their life.  When the free-spirited Olivia Cartwright shows up across the street in the upstairs window dancing, Adam is mesmerized and Aaron wants her for his own. Adam and Olivia quickly develop a meaningful friendship, but his shyness and feelings of inadequacies keep him from confessing his feelings for Olivia.....Aaron seeing an opportunity swoops in and makes Olivia his.  Adam not feeling like he is worthy steps aside for Aaron and Olivia to give their relationship a try.  Along the road, things get rocky and Adam and Olivia finally get the chance they deserve.....what you will read is their journey of discovering life, true love, and surviving tragedy.  To say I cried while reading this book would be an understatement, I bawled my eyes out!

I don't want to give away too much of the story but know that this coming of age story will touch you and stick with you long after you finish it, making you rethink how you live your life.  The only thing that I wish is that the epilogue would have gave us more, it left me emotionally wanting.....no needing more of Adam's story.
