Rock Star (Faded and Jaded) by Mercy Amare ~ Blog tour and Giveaway

Jaded Synopsis

I'm Scarlett Ryan.

Yes, THAT Scarlett Ryan.

I live an extraordinary life: millionaire rock star, owner of exotic cars, pictures of me in every magazine, millions of fans, and a name that is recognized world wide. It's supposed to be my dream come true. But, my life IS a fantasy, and I want real. I want exciting. I want... NORMAL. So, I moved from California to Florida, hoping to obtain some normalcy. Instead I find...

Stephan Montgomery.

He's an arrogant jerk. Seriously, I hate him. I swear if he tells me one more blonde joke, I will punch him... again... Unfortunately I can't stop thinking about him, or his gorgeous green eyes. Trust me, I know that he's bad for me. If only my heart would listen.

I also find out that my parents have kept a LIFE CHANGING secret from me. I need to know the truth.

The harder I strive for normal, the stranger things seem to get.

Jaded is book 1 of the Rock Star trilogy.

Review

This is my first read by Mercy....I enjoyed the ride! It surprised me, shocked me.......It kept me waiting to see what was going to happen next. It was also my one of my first reads as the female as the rock star which I loved. 4 stars.

So in Jaded, Scarlett is a rock star that wants out of the spotlight to live a normal life.  She just wants to reconnect and remember why she loved music to begin with. During this break things get thrown at her and she meets Ethan and Stephan. Well hello Stephan.....major hottie alert...sexy, cocky attitude, dimples....yup you get the picture! So poor Scarlett, just wanting to be normal of course things get crazier! So no spoilers but you need to read this book you will love it!

Great book......yes, a different read for me (YA/NA) but I absolutely loved it! I was so glad I had Faded readily available because the ending will def leave you wanting more!

Faded Synopsis

I left Hope – the only place I’ve ever felt at home. So now what? Where do I go from here?

When I left, I didn’t just leave my home. I left my friends, my sisters, and Stephan… I just found them. I can’t lose them now.

I know that I want to do MY music. I need to remember WHY I wanted to play music in the first place. And the only way to get that is by firing my dad, but that may be harder than I thought.

On top of everything, I now have cameras following me around everywhere. Even my own home isn’t safe anymore.

I’ve come to realize that normal will never be an option for me.

Faded is book 2 in the Rock Star Trilogy.

Excerpt

“You will break one day,” he says confidently.

“Maybe, but maybe not. I’m a pretty strong willed person. I could make you wait until our wedding night.”

Stephan smiles. “Wedding night?”

Crap. Did I just say that out loud? Now would be a really great time for the floor to open up and swallow me whole. I turn away from him, and try to think of something to say. I can feel the heat in my cheeks. Why oh why did I just say that?

“I’m sorry,” I finally speak. “I shouldn’t have said that. I didn’t mean to imply that we were going to get married.”

“Scarlett, turn around,” he demands.

I turn around to see him standing directly in front of me. He puts his hands on the sides of my face, and tilts my head up so that I am looking at him.

“You’re really beautiful when you blush.”

I can’t help but smile at his words.

He kisses my cheek. “That’s better. Let’s just forget you said that.”

As always, Stephan knows exactly what to say to make me feel better. “Thank you.”

“Scarlett Montgomery,” he nods approvingly. “I like it.”

“I thought we were forgetting I ever said anything,” I remind him.

“I was just testing it out, you know, for future reference.”

I shake my head. “Let’s just play.”

Review

So after we were left hanging in Jaded.....Faded picks up exactly one week after Jaded ends.. While I liked Jaded, I loved Faded!  4.5 stars

In Faded, Scarlett is standing up for herself and what she wants and not running from her fears. So, during Scarlet's self-discovery she experiences growth from a naive young girl to a strong confident young woman.  Her relationship with Stephan also grows and we get lots of yummy sexual tension....*sigh* yup I love Stephan.

Congrats Mercy on the release! Faded was a sweet journey of love, self-discovery, and friendship with some drama thrown in. In true Mercy fashion....be prepared for the ending to leave you left reeling....I am officially counting down the days until Hated (Rock Star #3) comes out, I need it like now!
