Blurb:
When it rains it pours….
Hard-nosed and self-reliant Dallis O'Brien has had her fair share of devastation. Her father's tragic accident sparked what seemed like a domino effect of heartbreak and loss. Unable to shake the fear of enduring any more pain, she builds walls around her heart, hoping to heal on her own.
Dallis' road to recovery is disrupted when she meets Grayson Rivera, a tattooed, coffee shop owner who, by appearances alone, isn't her typical match. Stubborn and hesitant to let him in, Dallis finally succumbs to Grayson's persistence, where he challenges her to face her loss while also having the walls of her heart broken down.
With Grayson's assistance, Dallis must decide if she is willing to learn how to be weak in order to be strong
Review
I struggled with this one a little and it took me a while to get into it.....great story and Grayson was awesome, but things were just a little rushed for me and I didn't have time to fully connect to the characters or really feel the emotions of this book. That being said I still enjoyed the story line 3.5 stars.
The story starts out with Dallis and Colby having been together for three years and Colby being there for Dallis through her losing her father. When tragedy strikes again Dallis starts to see Colby more and more for who he truly is.....arrogant, stuck-up, basically an ungrateful trust fund baby, and Dallis realizes that their relationship is just a relationship of convenience and they've grown apart.
Dallis is struggling to get her life back in order when she runs into Grayson, a man that seems to have it all together. Grayson is sexy, has tattoos and owns a little coffee shop called Ada's.......there is an instant connect and spark between the two. He pursues her and realizes it will be hard to get her to let go, Dallis hasn't fully grieved yet for the tragedy that has rocked her world. With Grayson's help Dallis learns to live again and find herself little by little but will Grayson's love be enough to completely break down Dallis's walls? Read on to find out!
Congrats on the releases C.C. Brown! Loved, Loved Grayson and I loved the ending. I read that Grayson will be getting his own book, but I hope C.C. decides to continue Dallis and Grayson's story.

About the Author: (Cover pic attached)
Just a book reading, writing loving, mommy and USMC wife! :)
I love to write, even if it isn't what is conventional and makes everyone feel giddy inside. I usually pull from dreams, or ideas that just thrust themselves into my head. I have what some would describe as a dry sense of humor, and I think its conveyed in my writing. I like to think I am a kick ass chick, but I can also be sensitive. I'm learning to grow thick skin, and in this field, it is definitely needed!
I won't put anything out that I am not absolutely proud of, but like E.L. James said, "I can't own people's reactions to it." Thanks for reading my work... I do appreciate it!
