As soon as Savannah begins to feel like her life is finally piecing back together, men from her past come back into her life causing strain on her new relationship with Kayden. Just when she thinks things cannot get any worse, tragedy strikes; sending Savannah’s world crashing back down around her. Will her relationship with Kayden be strong enough to with stand the new obstacles thrown at them, or will it tear them apart forever?

This story picks up where Irresistable Desire ended. So make sure you read that one first because it will help this book make sense.
Savannah is living in Galveston, TX now. This also puts her closer to where Kayden lives. She needed to leave LA and Logan Sanders behind. Or so she thought. He’s still scattered throughout this story. Guess he just doesn’t get it through his oversized head that he ruined his chance with Savannah when he slept with just about every model in his agency. But he doesn’t lack for trying. I’ve got to give him that much.
Kayden Knox is just plain “sex on a stick”. I wasn’t sure if his feelings for Savannah were true. But those thoughts changed as I read this story. He really cares for her besides the “off the charts” sex these two have just about everywhere you could think of. The growth of their relationship and feelings for each other added to my liking their story.
Savannah’s friend, Brooklyn, still has parts in this story, too. They remain in constant contact when Brooklyn is off on a set working. And when she gets a break in her schedule, she flies to Galveston to spend her few days off with Savannah. These girls are true best friends.
Savannah discovers that she has two gay men, Jacob & Zak, renting the beach house next to hers. She becomes friends with them after Jacob overhears Savannah’s fight with Logan and comes over to see if she’s okay or needs any help.
The paparazzi continue to be a thorn in Savannah’s side with either pictures or stories written in the tabloids, etc. But it’s not something that’s new for her, especially with her parents being country superstars. She just still has a difficult time adjusting to the crap that’s written and just wants to be left alone.
I enjoyed the storyline but, at times, found the sex scenes and dialogue to just not be “real” to me. Kayden and Savannah seem like the Energizer freakin’ bunnies at times. And the dialogue came across as being a little childish at times. But like I said before, I did enjoy the storyline.
The ending was a total surprise for me and I did not see it coming. It’s suspenseful and I wasn’t sure what or which way it was going to go. Savannah surprised me with keeping her head together in the situation she was put in. This book ends with a cliff hanger, so I’ll be picking up book #3 because I have to find out what happens next.
