Synopsis
Lanie Heron isn't looking for love-no surprise, considering her last serious relationship nearly got her killed. So when Lanie propositions Hop Kincaid, all she wants is one wild night with the hot-as-hell biker who patrols with the Chaos Motorcycle Club . . . For Hop, Lanie has always been untouchable. She's too polished and too classy for his taste. But when she gives Hop the once-over with her bedroom eyes and offers him a night in paradise, he can't say no. Review
I'm a big fan of Kristen Ashley's......freaking love her! She has the ability to rock out the alpha male like no other and her writing is always spot on and flawless. That being said, I still enjoyed this book, it just wasn't my favorite of hers. The characters were a little older and the story flowed well, the heroine just wasn't my favorite and I just needed more drama. 3.5 stars.
Fire Inside is Lanie and Hops's story. Lanie is classy, beautiful and smart but she is emotionally damaged and blaming herself for something that happened 8 years ago that her dirt bag fiance is to blame for and ultimately paid with his life for. Lanie's ex also put her life and the life of her best-friend in danger. Lanie just can't forgive herself for the torture they went through when she was warned about how sleazy her ex was and she didn't listen. Then there was was Hop......*sigh* Hop, he wasn't no Shy....sorry Shy is my first love but he was dang close. I fell hard for him and how he cared for Lanie and how patient he was with her while she was dealing with her demons. What starts off as only supposed to be one night for these two ends up being more, but can Hop get Lanie to forget her past and get on board for a relationship with him or is it to late for Lanie? Another issue they have to deal with is what the club will think about their secret relationship? Read on to find out!
I can't wait to see what's up next in the Chaos series because these tattooed, motorcycle, bad boys get my engine running!.
