Euphoria by Erin Noelle ~ Blog Tour and Giveaway

Blurb

After a series of catastrophic misunderstandings and impulsively poor decision-making, Scarlett MacGregor finds herself once again torn between two loves, as different as they may be. Lacking proper closure with their relationship, accompanied by the overwhelming guilt for her role in his devastating downfall, Scarlett resolves to help Mason recover and reclaim his life as a budding rock star. However, now that he has finally claimed her as his, Ash Walker is bound and determined to keep her by his side, and he will go to any lengths necessary to do just that.

Mason Templeton has hit rock bottom. He’s in love with a girl whose heart and soul belong to another and he’s partied his way off of an international music tour that was supposed to be his big break. Returning home for rehab sounds like the worst possible way to start a new year, but when an unexpected friendship emerges, he begins to realize that maybe everything does happen for a reason.

Euphoria is the third and final installment of Scarlett, Ash, and Mason’s self-discovering journeys to happiness and understanding the meaning of true love ~ the kind that begs for complete surrender

Recommended for readers 17+ due to sexual content and harsh language.

Excerpt

Embracing her one last time, I whispered in her ear, “I love you, butterfly… ‘your curves

and all your edges, and all your perfect imperfections.’ I’ll see you tomorrow night.”

“I love you, too, Ash. ‘You’re my end and my beginning; even when I lose, I’m winning,’”

she whispered back. Then she grabbed her bag and headed for the security check point. Right

before turning the corner where I couldn’t see her anymore, she looked back at me and blew me

a kiss and made hand hearts. Damn, she was beautiful. I stood there for several minutes with a

goofy ass grin on my face. I wasn’t expecting her to sing the next lyrics of the song to me, but it

filled me with an indescribable feeling of warmth and love. ~Ash

Review

I honestly have no idea how to rate this book. After reading it I'm pissed, happy, confused, annoyed, emotional, and at a loss for words.

I have absolutely loved the series leading up to Euphoria. Both of those books have been two of my favorite and had me completely anxious to read the conclusion and find out what happened between Scarlett, Mason, and Ash. I can't review the book easily without spoiling, it so without discussing the plot I'll tell you what bugged me.

Metamorphosis and Ambrosia were huge emotional roller coasters for me but Euphoria felt kind of "flat" the whole way through. I didn't feel any build up, any of the emotion pouring out of the characters that was felt at the beginning of the series. Then all of a sudden, there's a BOOM, and then flat line again. I just felt...cheated. I wanted the raw emotions that made me cry, mad, happy, and torn between two men that I felt before-unfortunately Euphoria just didn't do any of that for me. THEN, I felt who she ended up with wasn't by choice-it was forced upon her...and well she settled. While I am and have been completely on his team (can't let any spoilers go on who she ends up with!) I feel cheated that he was her "default" guy instead of who she chose to be with because he is awesome *Sigh*.

What I LOVED? Mason and Ash. I loved their passion throughout all three books. They both loved Scarlett fiercely and it was continuous in Euphoria. While I absolutely have my preference of the two, I definitely prefer their characters over Scarlett's.

Overall this was an extremely frustrating book for me to read and finish. I didn't feel the connection to it that I did with the others, but it still was well worth finishing the series just so you can see who Scarlett ends up with. Remember this is just my opinion, everyone's reading experience will differ! Happy Reading!

  9. I have the first book in this series but haven't started it yet. I am looking forward to reading it. I especially love when I don't find a book until the series is completely written. I hate that wait time when all the books aren't out yet. Thanks for the honest review.
