Book Two in the Needing Moore Series. Adult Contemporary Romance

Continuing the fight for their happily ever after that began in Searching for Moore, Schooner Moore and Mia Silver struggle to overcome the ghosts and baggage they accumulated during their time apart.

Exploring the missing 24 years when they were separated, Moore to Lose follows Mia's journey from heartbroken teen to kickass businesswoman to her emotional reunion with Schooner and the exploration of the love that was ripped from them.

But is their love really strong enough to overcome the damage of those missing 24 years or will they continue to be ripped apart by pasts that can't be changed?

This is Book 2 in the Needing Moore Series. This is not a stand alone book. It is meant to be read after Searching for Moore.

Review

I was completely taken off guard by this series! I was a little iffy about reading about characters this age. Honestly, I thought they were a little old (I like to relive my college days through younger characters) and really who could be HOT at 43? Well, Schooner is!!! Julie totally proved me wrong because I related to these characters alot, more than I expected, probably more than any book I've ever read. My one little complaint is I wish we would have got more of the here and now in Schooner and Mia's relationship during Moore To Lose. Most of the book was told reliving Mia's years apart from Schooner, and while we needed to see that, I wanted more Schooner time which hopefully we will get in the next book because I believe that book will focus on the present lives of Mia and Schooner! 4.5 stars

"Oh Baby Girl, the whole time I was dying, so were you. We were both dying. This was so senseless. This never should have happened."

Moore To Lose starts out in the present and does give us the answers we were looking for as to what happened to Mia after the cliffhanger we were faced with in Moore To Lose. Then the book drops back to the past.  It shows what happened after Mia left Schooner and college and how upset she was and not living her life.  We see Mia's self-destructive behavior and how she wasn't really dealing with the events of her attack and her painful journey in moving forward from that event. We also get to see Mia make new friends and become involved with several love interests and how even though they help Mia deal with the hurt of losing Schooner, she never really forgets him or gets over him and never experiences the type of loved they one shared.  I don't want to summarize and give to much away. You definitely need to read this yourself and experience Mia's journey of self discovery.

It was real. It had always been real. They would work through the demons together...She was his and no one was ever going to take her from him again.

A must read series, one of my top favorites!! Beautifully written, beautiful characters....very emotional, angsty, and heartbreaking to see all the hurt and suffering these characters endured during their time apart.  Be warned Julie, throws another cliffhanger at us, so be prepared! I can't wait for the next installment!!!
