In trouble with nowhere else to go songstress Lace Lowell seeks refuge with the band during their stop in New York City. I seriously contemplated telling her right then and there that she was the only woman that had ever been important to me when I heard the door slide open behind us.
“Guys it’s four fucking a.m.” Voice gruff with disapproval, War’s appearance brought our intimate predawn reunion to an end. Looking wan and strung out, the lead singer of Tempest shuffled into view wearing a pair of red boxers and scratched his bare chest. “Come on back to bed, babe.” He held out his hand to her while shooting me an irritated glance.
She patted my knee and I took the cue to scoot out of the booth ahead of her so she could exit.
War threw a proprietary arm around her shoulders as soon as her bare feet hit the floor. “Night, Loser.”
“Night, Asshole.”
War gave me the finger before he closed the door.
I stared at it for a long time. Nothing had fucking changed. Twenty thousand people screaming my name during my guitar solo at the Garden, plus two twins, but none of that mattered to me. Not when my best friend had the woman I’d always wanted.

Drugs, sex, and rock and roll! Irresistible Refrain is all of these things wrapped up in one hot package! 3.5 stars!!!
Bryan "Bullet" Jackson is the lead guitarist of hot new band Tempest. All tatted up and hot he's never wanting for attention from the opposite sex except for when it comes to the one girl he wants the most.
Lace Lowell has to escape. After being in an abusive relationship that's left her torn down and addicted to drugs she goes running to her oldest friends, brother, and ex-boyfriend who are all part of Tempest. As soon as she gets there she falls back into a routine with ex-boyfriend, War, although her heart has always loved Bryan.
Two friends, one girl-someone's coming out pissed.
Irresistible Refrain had all the pieces of a book I love: hot rockers, hot sex, hot love triangle, and lots of twists and turns.
I've always loved books written from both characters points of view and this one didn't disappoint. Both Lace and Bryan were fighting their emotions for each other throughout the book without knowing why. I wanted to scream "JUST TELL HER!" so many times!!
The best thing about this book is there are 5 band members which means lots of supporting characters to fall in love with! We didn't get too much info about the other band members in this book, but we definitely got enough to keep me wanting more.
While this book wasn't one of my absolute favorites I can't ever say no to a hot rocker so I'd definitely say it's a good read. I"m excited that it's part of a series and can't wait to read more about the other hotties from Tempest.
