Room For You by Beth Ehemann ~ Blog Tour and Giveaway
Room for You Synopsis:
Four years ago, my dreams were shattered in an instant.
I tried to pick up the pieces and glue them back together the best I knew
how, but something was always missing.
A father for my two girls.
But then, Brody Murphy landed on my doorstep, literally. He was a carefree,
playful hockey player who barged into my life and messed with my head. He
left me more confused than I had ever been.
What if the one thing I thought I needed was the only thing holding me back?
Excerpt:
“I didn’t know you’d been seeing anyone?” Viper responded.
“I haven’t, just met her last week when I was stuck up north in that damn storm. I wasn’t even looking for anyone, I was driving along, minding my own business and bam! Now I can’t stop thinking about her.”
Viper was quiet, staring off into space.
I sighed. “Go ahead, asshole. Give me shit about it, I can handle it.”
“I’m not giving you shit, I was just trying to remember if in my whole life, there’s ever been a girl that I couldn’t stop thinking about. There have been girls who I thought about for a night, then forgot them shortly after I fucked them, but thinking about someone for a week? No way. That’s worth fighting for dude. Season’s over, you have time. Turn the tables, prove her wrong. Then make her beg.”

5 Stars
If this is what I can expect of things to come from this author, I will be reading her books til I can no longer read anymore. I am in awe since this is Beth Ehemann’s debut novel. This story flowed, I loved the characters, the setting, the dialogue, I just freakin' loved everything. I did not want to put this book down for a second.
This story is about a young, single mom (Kacie Jensen) with 5 year old twin girls (Piper & Lucy). Their father, Zach, left before the girls were 1 year old and Kacie and the girls have been living in an apartment at the inn that her Mom owns and runs. Kacie hasn’t been in a relationship in 4 years and when a bad storm puts Brody Murphy at the inn’s door, Kacie is caught off guard. Sometimes, when you least expect it, love finds you.
Piper and Lucy are just too cute for words. Wait until you meet them.
Brody is a professional hockey player for the Minnesota Wild. He’s hot, single, genuine, caring and sweet. I want my own Brody. The things he says and does just made me melt and I’m sure that he’ll have the same affect on you, too. I surely did not expect to find another book boyfriend, but a girl can never have too many.
I walked over and looked out and my heart stuttered to a halt. Lucy and Piper were on the driveway with Brody, jumping in and out of rain puddles. I looked at my mom who was all teary-eyed watching them have fun. ~ Kacie
That scene in the rain, during the storm, made even my heart smile. Just about anything this man does turns me to mush. Brody and the girls were having fun, making the most of being stuck in some horrible weather and enjoying the simple things. And he’s nicknamed Lucy and Piper “Twinkies”.
Kacie fights the feelings that she’s starting to have for Brody. She talks herself out of even trying to see if a relationship would work with him. And I truly understood her reasons for holding her heart back. But Brody wore down any resistance I might have had way in the beginning for me. He gets where she’s coming from as he learns a little bit more about her and he stays in the game because he sees what could be and doesn’t give up.
“She smelled unbelievable;, a lethal cocktail of flowers and her pheromones set my mind into a goddamn tailspin. I wanted to drop to my knees and beg her to blow off the friend idea right now, but Viper’s words kept ringing in my ear. “Turn the tables, prove her wrong, and then make her beg.” ~ Brody
I loved the scene at the fair. Kacie is very afraid of high rides, but Brody talks her into getting on the Ferris Wheel of Death as she calls it. His methods are just too sweet for words.
“You were so scared, Kacie, just like you are about life. I wanted you to see that sometimes, even when something terrifies you, if you just give it a chance it’s actually pretty incredible.” ~ Brody
Other quotes I loved while reading…..
My eyes welled up with tears. This man was amazing, and I….was an idiot.” `~ Kacie
“When you left the inn that morning and I found you jersey on the fireplace. I jumped to conclusions.” Her shoulders dropped as she continued, “I assumed that since you were this single, big shot athlete, you must have been a selfish playboy who didn’t give a crap about family, or anyone for that matter. After hearing you gush about your mom, then seeing all your family pictures, and now this…..I was wrong, Brody. I’m so sorry.” ~ Kacie
“When we walk into that room, you’re going to put every other woman to shame. How lucky am I that you’ll be on my arm?” ~ Brody
Go grab this book, you won’t be disappointed and if you decide to wait, you’ll be sorry that you did and think to yourself “Why did I wait to pick this book up?” From the way the book ended, I’m thinking that there is more to come. You’ll definitely be shocked. I know I was.
