4 Amazing Stars!
Resplendent completely surprised me with how much I loved it. While the story itself wasn't what I'd call unique the characters were much different from most that you read about.
Savannah lost her parents at a young age and went to live with her God Mother and her, now, God Sister-Carmin. When Carmin introduces Savannah to Andres, the guy she's interested in, it's an instant attraction between him and Savannah-enter forbidden love story!
Andres is your typical playboy. Goes from girl to girl using them for sex and then moves on. Waiting for his most recent hookup, Carmin, he meets her sister Savannah-and forgets about everyone else in the world. She's his "different" and he wants her in every way possible. Being so sweet she reminds him of Georgia peaches and calls her "Peach" from then on and wanting a nickname as well she calls him Dre.
Going forward Peach and Dre form an amazing friendship. Savannah is wary of going any further because she doesn't want to step on Carmin's toes, but Dre pushes her and as they become closer she falls more and more enraptured by him.
When Dre suffers a loss he and Savannah take their friendship to another level and she finally thinks she has what she's going to get the love and relationship she's always wanted from him. When he pushes her away instead, she crumbles and their friendship is never the same.
Years later Peach moves back home from school and Dre is determined to get her back. When multiple obstacles get in the way, and a scandal is revealed-Savannah doesn't think she'll ever forgive him.
The ONLY reason I didn't give Resplendent 5 stars is because the story itself wasn't extremely unique so there were parts were predictable. That being said-the story was awesome but what truly got my attention were the characters. It's not very often you find characters of a different ethnicity in books-let alone all of the main characters. I loved the different dynamic that these characters had with being of Hispanic background. I got to Google words I didn't know, but also get an insider view at how the family of another culture works. It definitely made me connect more with the story since I myself have a different ethnicity than most of the stories I read.

Everything about the way the characters loved, lived, and fought for each other in this book made me fall in love. You must read this book!!

This story certainly reminds people that sometimes you do not realize just how much you care for someone until they are no longer a part of your daily life, I look forward to reading it.
