Review

I was super excited to read this book. Front cover was sexy as heck and the blurb was steamy....oh and did I mention that book was about a fighter? Yup that's all it took for me to want to get my hands on this book but sadly the book did not live up to my expectations. 2.5 - 3 stars.

Caitlyn Moore is self conscious.  She has lost 80 lbs and still sees the woman she used to be so she has virtually no self-esteem.  She can't quite understand why a man like Dante "Inferno" Jones would ever look at a girl like her and like what what he sees let alone want to start a relationship with her.  So when Dante shows interest Caitlyn does the only thing she is used to doing, she runs and hides.

Dante has never wanted a woman more than he wants Caitlyn, he's used to girls throwing themselves at him, after all he is a professional MMA fighter. When Caitlyn run he wants her more than ever and decides he will do anything to make her his.  The question is can he take things slowly with Caitlyn and help her overcome her insecurities or is his inability to control his need for Caitlyn going to cause her to run for good?

The possibility of a really great story line was there....really the story was great...heroine with insecurities that loses a ton of weight and a sexy as hell MMA fighter that wants her despite her insecurities and additional weight, throw in a villian to make the story interesting and the recipe is there but it just didn't all connect together and fell flat. We spent most of the book with Dante chasing Caitlyn and her repeatedly running. I couldn't feel the intense connection that these two were supposed to have. There really was no sexy time until the end of the book and I NEED my sexy time, especially since I thought I would at least be getting a little of that from this book. It was just an okay read for me.  The one thing I will say is I was happy with the ending. I can usually devour a book in a day and it took me several days to get through this one.
