Stipped by Jasinda Wilder ~ Blog Tour and Giveaway

SYNOPSIS:

So how did I get myself into this situation, you ask? Simple: desperation. When you're faced with being homeless and hungry or taking off your clothes for money, the choice is easier than you'd imagine. That doesn't make it easy, though. Oh no. I hate it, in fact. There's nothing I'd like more than to quit and never go into another bar again, never hear the techno beat pulsing in my ears again, never feel the lecherous gazes of horny men again.

Then, one day, I meet a man. He's in my club, front and center. He watches me do my routine, and his gaze is full of hunger. Not the kind of desire I'm used to though. It's something different. Something hotter, deeper, and more possessive. I know who he is; of course I do. Everyone knows who Dawson Kellor is. He's People Magazine's Sexiest Man alive. He's the hottest actor in Hollywood. He's the man hand-picked for the role of Rhett Butler in the long-awaited remake of Gone With the Wind.

He's the kind of man who can have any woman in the entire world with a mere crook of his finger. So what's he doing looking at me like he has to have me? And how do I resist him when he looks at me with those intoxicating, changeable, quicksilver eyes?

I'm a virgin, and he's an American icon of male sexuality. I'm a stripper, and he's a man used to getting anything and everything he wants. And he wants me. I know I should say no, I know he's the worst kind of player…but what my mind knows, my body and my heart may not.

And then things get complicated.

Review

I was so excited to get my hands on this one! I love Jasinda's writing and this one gripped me right from the start. I became so emotionally invested while reading Stripped, I was a mess....I cried, I laughed, and I was squirming in my chair from all the hot sexual tension! I couldn't wait to keep reading to see what would happen next. The majority of this book was definitely a 5 star read but it lost me a little around 75% so my overall rating would be 4 stars!

Stripped is Grey and Dawson's story. Grey is a preacher's daughter from a southern town and her father is very strict. Her escape is dancing and her mother had to fight for her father to even allow her to do that. Grey feels trapped, like she's not really living her life and she can't wait to go off to college to break free from her father's controlling ways. Then tragedy strikes and she feels even farther away from her father than she did before. Grey packs her bags and runs to LA. When Grey runs she has nothing....no money and she left her only friend back home. Grey is tough as nails and will do what she has to do to survive. After learning her financial aid is running out, and searching for a job to no avail, Grey takes the only job she can find....a stripper.

Grey absolutely hates stripping, she's such a sweet girl and you can feel every single one of her emotions and how much it disgusts her but she does what she needs to do to survive. This is where she meets Dawson. Dawson is a famous actor with a playboy reputation. Dawson recognizes right away that Grey does not belong in the strip club, he sees right through her. When their path's cross again, there is no denying the chemistry between these two. The big question is can Dawson get Grey to own her feelings and stop running or will Grey run from the one real thing in her life?

Jasinda's writing is pretty flawless and you really can't go wrong with one of her books. This turned out to be a good story.....intense, sexy, and full of emotion. I absolutely adored the epilogue, I just wish the last part of the book wouldn't have dragged as much as it did.
