Travis Walker, the oldest of the seven Walker brothers, has been referred to as moody and mysterious, and for the most part, he would agree. Until recently, he spent his days helping his brothers run the family business. Now, he dedicates his time and energy to building a resort, Alluring Indulgence, that caters to fetishes and fantasies. And despite his attempt to work himself into the ground, Travis has never denied – at least not to himself – that something is missing.
Review 5+ stars
Wow!! This book was hot! Did I say hot? Yup! I hope you’ve enjoyed reading Kaleb & Zane Walker’s books by now, because we have another sexy Walker cowboy to read about…..Travis Walker. He’s the oldest of the seven Walkers. Yes, seven. Now, if you’re brain cells haven’t taken a vacation after reading the first two books in this Alluring Indulgence series that leaves us with four more to read about after Travis. Truthfully, I don’t think I’m going to be able to count no less think after reading anymore of these men. And I’m OK with that.
I know that some of my previous book reviews have had quotes from the book which I felt added to my review. But I’m not going to do that here. I felt that it might spoil you’re reading enjoyment. I want you to experience/feel everything you read in Travis for the first time. So…with that being said…
Travis is the oldest Walker hottie. He’s served in the military, is the owner of Walker Demolition & is the one behind the idea of opening the Alluring Indulgence club where he lives in TX. Ooops…I kind of forgot the town he lives in. LOL Travis doesn’t say much and keeps a lot of his thoughts, feelings close to his hard chiseled chest & abs. But he’s about to have to do a lot of thinking and maybe explaining when a blast from his past comes back into his life in the form of Kylie Prescott.
Kylie does have history with Travis but she hasn’t seen him in a very long time. And let’s just say that when these two do set eyes on each other after such a long period has past….it’s not pretty. Now, we all remember Gage Matthews, right?? If you’ve read the previous two books (Kaleb & Zane) we’ve had a taste of Gage. He’s another hot alpha male. He’s an undercover cop & likes to be the third in sexual encounters with couples. This allows him to just walk away and not have any emotional entanglements. Just pure sexual gratification! Well, he is very frustrated with Travis after he pinned him to the wall a few times awhile back & he’s kind of flappin’ in the breeze right now. Travis hasn’t said or taken anymore steps to letting him know what he wants or what he is thinking. Gage wants to hire Kylie to restore his grandparents old farmhouse that was left to him after they died. Are we starting to put any pieces of this puzzle together here yet? Did I say that these two feel attracted to each other? Did I mention where this farmhouse is located?
Will broken hearts be mended? Will we understand and learn a little more about Travis who doesn’t say a whole hell of a lot? Yes. And nothing comes easily for anyone & by that I mean everyone. But the scenes getting us to the end of this book are frustrating, hot, steamy & sexy. Actually, let me change that to scorching. And thank God, I was smart enough to have restocked my batteries awhile back. Cuz I needed them. Yes, I’m not bashful to admit it & I have a nice smile on my face. Sorry, if I’ve offended anyone, but I’m being honest & open here & I’m finding that the older I get, life is too damn short to be ashamed of letting whatever comes out of my mouth…come out.
You will love this journey that Nicole takes us on, so make sure you strap yourself in because it’s one hell of a ride! One that I think I may take again. If you are easily offended by the mere thought of M/M signs of affection/love/expression, then this might not be the book for you. I’ve learned to keep an open mind with anything in life & found the scenes in this book to be smoking hot, whether it was M/F, M/M or M/F/M. Nicole knows how to write these scenes very well & mix them in with a great storyline. I really don’t know how she does this or where the ideas/thoughts come from. But you know what?? I don’t care! I will be a fan of this author til I take my last breath. Yes, picture me with gray hair, wrinkles and probably poor eyesight to boot, in a rocking chair reading a NE book. And if I can’t see to read by then, maybe I’ll be listening to it in audio book format or have someone read it to me.
On a last note, the secondary characters definitely added to my enjoyment of this story. Travis’s brothers are here, as well as the Club Destiny gang. Travis’s parents, Curtis & Lorrie Walker are true sweethearts & down home country folk who have been married for years and they love their boys!

About me... hmmm...
Ok, I've been asked to provide a little bit of "real" information about myself. That's harder to do than you think it is, especially for someone who has difficulty talking about themselves. ;) But, here goes...
I've been writing for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a kid, I loved creative writing and as I got older, I got acquainted with those voices in my head and that led to putting my stories on paper. And now, here I am all these years later, spending my days doing what I love most. I decided to give myself over to writing full time in 2012 and I haven't looked back. I spent nearly 13 years in the corporate world and I have to say, this is a bit of a change (just a little) and I am loving every second of it.
I live in Texas with my husband and three amazing kids and our two beloved dogs. If I'm not writing, I'm usually reading. I devour everything I can get my hands on. I love romance of any type and being an Indie author myself, I'm always looking for new Indies to support. I haven't always been into reading, but about eleven years ago, I picked up a book - I'm pretty sure it was by Nora Roberts - and from there, I haven't stopped. Before I began writing full time, and my characters started taking up so much of my time, I was reading about 200 books a year. That has dwindled somewhat, but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't read.
An interesting fact... I don't watch television - aside from the occasional news anyway. I will go see a movie or two rarely, but for the most part, I get all of my entertainment from a book. Some of my favorite authors include J.R. Ward, Suzanne Brockmann, Lora Leigh, Jane Rylon, Lori Foster, and Jaci Burton just to name a few.
