Warning: This book contains graphic sexual encounters and language. Not recommended for readers under 17.
Turning 21 hasn't proven very fruitful for Jewelia Delarosa. Still, one lost boyfriend & two failed classes haven't gotten her down. She's got her sights set on a career with the NYPD, and is on course ... until she meets an irresistible and unpredictable Med Student who contradicts everything she thought she knew about Life, Love, Commitment ... and Sex.
Whether on the front seat of his Wrangler or his kitchen counter, her reserve is low, desire higher than the roof of the isolated A-frame in Maine where the two enjoy a weekend with friends, and take romance to the next level.
Who'll be there to catch her when she's falling Head Over Wheels?
Review
This one took me a little bit longer to read and get into, and I was honestly thinking it was probably around a 3 star rating but around 30 - 40 % it really started picking up and took a turn for the better. I found myself more engrossed in the story. I actually loved the heroine Jewel, which is rare for me because I'm usually more invested in the male characters. Head Over Wheels gets 4 stars.
Head Over Wheels is the story of Jewel and James Ballou (aka "Jimmy" and "Indigo" too many names, just call him Jimmy LOL). Jewel is a bright young woman, studying to be a police officer. She meets Jimmy one day at a Cafe and it's instant attraction. They don't actually get to talk until they run into each other again at a bike-a-thon that Jewel's roommate Emma drags her on. Jimmy is smoking hot, sexy and in medical school....Dr. McDreamy anyone? Even though the chemistry is there and they start seeing each other, Jimmy is hot one minute and cold the next and with all these mixed signals Jewel just can't figure out exactly what he wants. So we get loads of sexual tension! Oh, and I have to mention his mother and his crazy friend Vanessa, who obviously want to put a stop to Jewel's and Jimmy's relationship before it can even really get started....it's obvious there's some baggage there.

"Jewel, I have extensive knowledge of the human anatomy. I know the physiology of an orgasm, and the effects on a body when it's denied release. I know what to do to a woman...how to bring her to a screaming climax."
I can't leave out mention of Jewel's friends Emma and Pete, and even Jewel's family who help make this story and provide us with laughs while Jewel struggles with her and Jimmy's relationship status.
Head Over Wheels was funny, full of steamy sexual tension, romance and even had a little mystery to the plot. I was actually shocked as some of the story was revealed, I did not see some of it coming.....so if your looking for a light fun read this one is for you!
About the Author
I chose to use a pen name because Love Dreams was originally going to be a red hot erotic story, and I wanted to separate Victoria, who writes contemporary fiction and children's storybooks. Since my birth month is January, January Valentine seemed an appropriate pseudonym.
I also host a blogtalkradio show: Away With Words, every Wednesday evening at 7 PM EST where my co host Jill and I interview other writers and poets and discuss writing in general: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/aww1
Love Dreams is a story about a handicapped young man who secretly falls hopelessly (and helplessly) in love with a young woman who hides herself, and her past, beneath a grim but beautiful exterior. This gentle romance builds into a powerful "reality".
Sweet Dreams is a novel about a serial killer who is on the loose, working his way up the east coast. Previews on: http://www.skylinestories.us
