Makenna Lewis cringes at any mention of the word commitment. She doesn’t want or need a relationship, but she does like sex (who doesn't).
That explains Noah, Sean, and Zander, her three 'friends with benefits'.
They know the score, they know they're not the only one, and each of them provide her with a different physical need that she craves and enjoys.
Until a late night encounter with the delicious Daniel Winters turns her preconceived notion of no-commitment completely on its head.
Soon she finds herself feeling things she vowed never to feel again, and when Daniel pushes for more than she’s willing to give, she falters.
What do you do when something that you’ve known to be so wrong in the past feels so damn right?
If you’re Mac, you run and hide.
But is Daniel the type of man who takes no for an answer?
3.5 Stars. Temporary Bliss caught my attention with the unique plot. 3 Men that give Mac what she needs sexually *wags eyebrows up and down suggestively*. But the game changer comes in the form of the hot, sexy stranger Daniel Winters. On a chance encounter Mac meets Daniel and instantly imagines what he can bring to the game sexually. But he ends up being more then she bargained for. Mac knew Daniel was trouble from the first sinfully innocent kiss. But Mac made herself a promise that another man would never consume or control her. And all she sees is Daniel. Daniel wants it all and he wants it all with Mac, but can she let her past go so she can have a future with Daniel?
I enjoyed Mac's personality for the most part. She was a no nonsense girl, again for the most part. We didn't get deep into her other sexual relationships with Noah, Sean and Zander aka probably in book 2 as the love interest. but we did get that she was in it purely for sexual relief. She told all three boys what the score was and that they weren't the only ones playing the game. But when it came to tell Daniel she just couldn't. She knew her feelings for him were deep. And she didn't know what to do with it.
I did enjoy this book, my only concern was I didn't really connect with any of the characters. I think it moved really fast and there wasn't any time to really focus on one thing for too long. If your looking for a quick, light read, with a unique plot you'll enjoy Temporary Bliss.
