New Adult/Contemporary Romance - recommended for ages 17 and up.
With one look, I’m his . . .
With one touch, he’s mine . . .
With one kiss, it changes everything between us . . .
I’ve been famous since I can remember. Singing, acting, dancing—I’ve done it all. The tabloids cover my every move, but I don’t want that anymore. I want to be normal, whatever that is.
When I leave Hollywood for college in Vermont, I’m on my own for the first time in my life. This is my chance to figure out who I am and what I want in life.
But it’s a lot harder than I expected. I can’t escape my image. Classes are difficult, and I’m struggling. And then there’s Caleb Fox.
Sexy, intriguing Caleb Fox.
Caleb is the one man who doesn’t want to use me. He breaks down my walls. He challenges me. He wants me. And I just don’t know if I can give him the same—or if he’ll stick around when he finds out my shameful secret that the tabloids haven’t managed to uncover.
Dating him is risky enough, but loving him could break me.
“Hand it over.”
Instead Caleb steps closer to me, finally removing that distance between us. He braces his hands on either side of my head, his shirt dangling near my left shoulder. “You always want my t-shirts.”
“Yup.” I still have his shirt from that day. And I’m not ashamed to admit that I haven’t washed it. There’s still a faint trace of Caleb’s cologne on the cotton, and I like wrapping myself in him. “But I paid you for that first shirt. Remember?”
“You don’t have any blackberries this time.”
I tap my finger to my mouth. “If only I had something you did want.”
“If only . . .” Caleb can’t stop looking at my lips, his eyes kissing me. “I guess you could pay me with a kiss.”
“A kiss for a t-shirt?” I scoff, even as excitement shoots through me like a live wire that hits water. Sparks of lust explode in my body, little fireworks that shoot through the night. “That seems pretty high to me. I think I should get something more for a kiss.”
His head dips lower, his mouth a whisper away from mine. “Like what?”
“You already have me.”
Hailey Bloom has been famous her whole life. She's never had a choice but to do as her mom says to get her ahead. She's a been a musician and an actress but all she wants now is to be normal. A college kid. Figure out who she REALLY is. When Hailey decides to leave for a small college in Vermont things are harder than she realizes. Her image follows her and she doesn't know who's genuine, classes are way harder than she expected, and somehow she meets a boy-Caleb Fox.
Hailey is really struggling to figure out life. I loved the emotion and thoughts that came out of her. You could really understand WHY she felt and did what she did. Caleb is amazingly sweet and sexy. He was just the right combo of caring, dominating, and funny to make you swoon immediately. He knows what he wants and always wins. What he wants now is Hailey.
Is Caleb genuine in his feelings towards her? Can she figure out what she wants to do in life? What happens when her mom spills a dark secret and she can't escape it?
Stay With Me was a good story that caught my attention from the beginning. This is a sweet story about finding who you are and accepting that you WILL figure it out along the way. The characters were absolutely amazing. Not only did Hailey and Caleb suck you in, but all of their friends made the story hilarious and kept me wanting more from them as well.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this book. There were some naughty parts that made me want to drop my panties, parts that made me laugh, and parts that made me just sigh and say "aww".
This is a definite read and I am definitely adding the next book in the series to my TBR list!
