The Seen Trilogy by Cynthia Sax ~ Blog Tour and Giveaway

The Books

He Watches Me

She desires to be seen. He wants to watch.

Anna Sampson has a naughty secret. Every night, she slips into her neighbor’s yard and swims naked in his pool. She fantasizes that the dynamic young billionaire watches her nightly nude aquatics, his brilliant green eyes gleaming with lust.

She discovers this isn’t pure fantasy. Gabriel Blaine has been watching her via his security cameras, and now that he has returned to L.A., he doesn’t plan to stop. That’s all he wants—to watch. Anna knows she shouldn’t allow him and she certainly shouldn’t want more, but she craves Blaine’s attention, needing his gaze fixed on her body.

He Touches Me

His touch enflames her desires.

Anna Sampson has allowed billionaire businessman Gabriel Blaine to watch her, all of her. And looking is all he’s done—until now. After giving him permission to touch her, Anna realizes she won’t be satisfied until she has all of this handsome and secretive man.

Soon she tempts him, shreds his control, and pushes him too far. Blaine’s reluctance to take her virginity frustrates Anna. He fulfills her fantasy, but what is their reality together?

He Claims Me

A billionaire’s desires and a virgin’s wish to be claimed come together.

Two men want Anna Sampson. Gabriel Blaine is powerful, intelligent, the CEO of a successful company, and a billionaire. He’s watched her, touched her, encouraged her to become a strong, independent woman, a woman unafraid of her desires.

Now secrets from the past are exposed, threatening Anna’s freedom and safety. Will the man she loves stand by her side, or will he desert her, leaving Anna once again to face the future alone?

The searing climax of The Seen Trilogy.

Review

I'm doing a review of the whole trilogy (without spoilers)

This series is all about fantasy....voyeurism. We've all fantasized about watching others at some point and this series explores those fantasies. The seen trilogy is a smoking hot, sexy series full of sexual tension that you can devour pretty quickly, I read them in about an hour each. 4 stars

He Claims Me was the last book in The Seen Trilogy and Cynthia wrapped things up nicely for us, but there were a few things that I felt were left unfinished and I just wish the books would have been a little longer. That being said, I still really enjoyed this series, the men were mysterious and passionate and the heroine is likeable because she is normal.  Each book was packed full of sexual tension, conflict, and hot sex. I'm hoping we get a spin-off from secondary characters in this series.

I definitely recommend my lovers of erotica read this series.  Quick, short reads, that are smoldering hot and engaging....you'll love it, prepare to need a shower to cool down!

Naughty, Naughty Secrets

Cynthia Sax, Author Of He Watches Me

Anna, the not-so-innocent-yet-virginal heroine of He Watches Me, has a confession to make. Every night, she hops her neighbor’s fence, strips off her clothes, and swims naked in his backyard pool. Sometimes she does more than swim. Sometimes she reclines on one of the lounge chairs, spreads her legs, and pleasures herself.

Blaine, the enigmatic billionaire hero of He Watches Me, has a confession to make. He has video cameras installed in his backyard and every night, he watches as Anna swims naked. He has no plans to stop watching now that he has returned home. He has set up a poolside seat, has the lights turned off and his cigar ready to smoke.

I have a confession to make. Even though I’m crazy in love with my wonderful hubby, I sometimes… okay, I often fantasize about green-eyed, grim-lipped Blaine. In these fantasies, he’s not wearing his usual black suit, crisp white shirt, and plain silk tie either. (grins)

I suspect you have a confession to make also. We all have naughty secrets. All of us. Even that prissy miss seated primly in the front row with her knees pressed together. Anna is proof of that. Her co-workers nickname her the moth because she’s plain and quiet, completely unremarkable. They think her private life is as boring as her appearance. Anna nurtures this impression. She doesn’t want them to find out about her naughty secrets.

I have a theory that the more boring a person looks on the outside, the stranger she is on the inside. We’re perverse creatures. The truly weird people know they’re different so they often dress conservatively to try to fit in, to conform.

One of my favorite games to play while taking the city bus is to observe a fellow commuter and silently try to guess their naughty secret. That tattooed pierced bad boy? He’s wearing pink silk boxer shorts underneath his ripped jeans and his favorite sex toy is a feather. He loves the feeling of softness against his skin. That sweet-looking apple-faced gray-haired little old lady with the cane? She uses that cane in her basement dungeon. Her collection of 20-something buff male subs called her Madame X.

Part of the fun of both reading and writing is we find out about people’s naughty secrets. We read about Anna’s midnight clothing-impaired escapades. We know the façade she’s showing the world is false.

What is your naughty secret?

This Girl by Colleen Hoover ~ Review

There are two sides to every love story. Now hear Will’s.
Colleen Hoover’s New York Times bestselling Slammed series has brought countless readers to their knees with a whirlwind of love, passion, and heartache. Layken and Will’s love has managed to withstand the toughest of circumstances and the young lovers, now married, are beginning to feel safe and secure in their union. As much as Layken relishes their new life together, she finds herself wanting to know everything there is to know about her husband, even though Will makes it clear he prefers to keep the painful memories of the past where they belong. Still, he can’t resist his wife’s pleas and so he begins to untangle his side of the story, revealing for the first time his most intimate feelings and thoughts, retelling both the good and bad moments, and sharing a few shocking confessions of his own from the time when they first met.

In This Girl, Will tells the story of their complicated relationship from his point of view. Their future rests on how well they deal with the past in this final installment of the beloved Slammed series.

Review

“If I took every romantic poem, every book, every song, and every movie I've ever read, heard or seen and extracted the breathtaking moments, somehow bottling them up, they would pale in comparison to this moment.

This moment is incomparable.”

I can't tell you how excited I was to get this book into my hands. You don't even understand how much I BUTTERFLYING ADORE WILL COOPER!! The quote above is from Page one, from there on I was crying, this is how much I connected to this beautiful story. Once again, Colleen has made me fall in love with Will and Layken and live their love story as if it were my own. Make sure you read this series, it's classic and you will not be disappointed! 5 stars!

“Wife,” I say, staring straight into her eyes. “Think what you want, but there isn’t a single woman in this whole damn universe that I could ever love like I love you.”

This Girl is Will Cooper's story, you get to see the  past in Will's point of view, the present during his and Layken's honeymoon and at the very end we get to see into Will and Lake's future. Normally when I read a re-telling of a story from a different point of view I tend to get bored, but Colleen gave "This Girl" a whole new perspective, taking us back and forth from the past to the present.  I loved every single second of living things from Will's prospective.  We discover so many new things we didn't know....like Will's true feelings, secrets are revealed, and we learn of Will's relationship with Julia.

“Layken Cooper, I love you. I’ve loved you since the second I laid eyes on you and I haven’t stopped loving you for a second since.”

This Girl is just simply beautiful and left an impression on me that will last a lifetime.  I laughed, I cried...happy and ugly tears.  The writing was once again fresh and the poems were once again flawless and original.  My sweet, getting to read about Will and Layken's honeymoon and the amazing Epilogue. My suck, that the series is over.

You, baby girl. You’re my final piece.”

This Girl basically enriched the story for me and made me love this series and these characters even more than I already do.  I didn't want this series to end, I'm not ready to let go of Will, Layken, and all the secondary characters but what a beautiful, incredible ending Colleen has given us! One of my favorite series of all time!

Review

3.5 - 4 stars

Phoebe Andrews aka Barbie is leaving Chicago to start a new job in Nashville. Little does she know that her move isn’t the only thing that will happen to her. A minor car accident leaves her with some stitches on her head, a wrist injury & the need for someone to watch her. She’s blaming the accident & her injuries on Dean Montgomery. She isn’t very pleasant to him and almost comes across as bitchy. Poor Dean, I immediately felt sorry for him having to listen to her. This young man was only on an errand for his father and the accident wasn’t his fault.

I don’t want to give any spoilers here…..but both their worlds are about to be shaken up a little bit. There is an innocent, well almost innocent attraction between these two and I enjoyed how things played out. Dean and Phoebe try to be civil to one another while fighting their attraction as much as they can…..but come on, we can only take so much. Right?? And when Dean comes home a little drunk was cute. This story takes place on a big farm. I can relate to this in some ways because my Mom had a small farm & I loved every moment I spent there. This is the perfect setting for Dean and Phoebe.

I loved Dean’s Mom, Emily. She’s a sweet, caring, kind woman and takes an immediate liking to Phoebe. Dean’s father, Keith, is a little gruff with his son, but totally sweet to Phoebe. The way he talks/treats Dean made me feel sorry for him. I don’t know why he was like this, but near the end of the story he’s a lot nicer. And I did enjoy the family moments the Montgomery family had & showed Phoebe.

All in all, this was a sweet romance story that I did get swept up in. It takes you from the day they meet each other to a couple of years after. The words flowed well from page to page & I kept wanting to find out what was going to happen next with Dean & Phoebe. I will read this author again.

Review

I was intrigued by the premises and title of this book but the story was just okay. It didn't really hold my attention, I didn't connect with the characters, and it was too wordy.....I just felt like something was missing. That being said, it was well written and the editing was good, so I am going to base some of my rating on that. 2.5 - 3 stars

Serena is a photographer who just left her hometown and a passionless relationship with her childhood sweetheart. She was adopted by a family who should have never been aloud to keep her. Serena's family didn't loved her and abused her, so she's felt unloved and unwanted for many years. Upon arrival in town to stay with her cousin, she meets Gustav.  Gustav is a rich older man who has suffered from a previous relationship as well. The two have an instant chemistry and are instantly drawn to each other.

Gustav owns his own gallery and he has a proposition for Serena, he will help sell her photos in exchange for sex. Even though Serena is young and inexperienced, she is definitely interested and attracted to Gutav. The offer is really more than Serena can refuse...a chance to advance her career and spend time with this handsome, older experienced man who can help her fulfill her fantasies.  This begins their relationship which in all honesty was just kind of strange, Gustav is constantly leaving Serena alone and I didn't get the whole "Silver Chain" part.  There are several things revealed as Gustav's past threatens to tear their relationship apart and the story ends on a cliffhanger.

Overall, the book wasn't horrible, it just wasn't for me. Maybe in the next installment things will smooth out, connections with the characters will grow, and the story line will improve. Everyone experiences a book different when they read, I think there will be some people who really enjoy this book, it just wasn't one of my favorites.

I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.

One night changed my life forever.

Beau Bennett has been my best friend since I can remember. He was my first crush before everything came crashing down, and now he wants more, but it's more than I can give him. Things are different now. I wish I could tell him why, but I can't.

I haven’t told anyone.

I never knew how much I really needed him until the day he left for college, and I was completely alone.

Then one day, Asher Hunt rides into town with his dark, captivating eyes and cocky grin. He doesn't care who I used to be, he's simply breathing life into what’s left. People warn me to stay away from him, but he helps me forget the pain that has held me hostage for so long; something I thought was impossible before he walked into my life.

I’ve been hurt.

I’ve been saved.

And I’ve found hope.

I thought my story was written that night, but now I know it was only a new beginning. Until one secret turns my world upside down…

Again.

Teaser

When you live in small town, there’s not much to do on a fall Friday night after a football game. When the season started this year, some of the upperclassman at my high school decided that we should all have a bonfire after each game. It was really an excuse to drink and hook-up: two things I wasn’t interested in but I always went to hang out with my friends anyway.

That’s where I was that night.

The night I retreated into darkness, where the night sky had no stars, the day had no sun, and all hope was drained from my body.
The night my life ended.

And Beau Bennett wasn’t there. If he had been, he would’ve saved me, just like he always does. He was grounded that night for staying out past curfew the Friday before; in fact, it’s the only weekend I remember Beau ever being grounded.

Life is a series of coincidences and that night, coincidence screwed me over.

The most important thing I lost was my entire sense of self. It took seventeen years to build my foundation and it took mere minutes to tear it down.

I hate him.

The old Kate’s gone...and she’s never coming back.

And I’ll always hate when it rains.
