Oh.Em.Gee. I want to cry big crocodile tears with this being the last Corps Security book!! Just like all of the others this book had me entranced from the beginning and I finished in one sitting!! 4.5 stars!
Throughout the entire Corps Security series Maddox Locke has been a constant silent with a strong presence. He's always there helping his friends, protecting those he cares about, but keeping the one person he loves at arms length. He doesn't deserve happiness. He can't imagine anyone really loving him. He can't give into his desire. But still he craves Emmy. Wants to give into his demons and fight for her, and it turns into the fight of their life.
I.Loved.This.Book.
Seriously. Maddox has been such a mystery throughout the series I was SO ready to find out what his story was and prayed that he and Emmy ended up together! These two, together, make the perfect pair. They're strong, stubborn, and when they get naked? WHEW-sparks fly! Their passion for each other has been building and building and is out of this world.
Harper Sloan truly has amazed me with this series and I am in constant need for more from her. I cannot wait until more work from her comes out so I can lock myself away for another day and get lost in the hot, romantic, alpha world she creates. Definitely pick up Locke and the rest of this series!!
