Hmmm…where do I start?  This book started so strong, but there was a lot of dysfunction in this book…Jared, Meadow, and Justin….my head reeled from all the things these three went through! This is the first Ker Dukey book that I’ve read, and while I liked it, some things were just a little over-the-top for me and affected my rating a tad.  4 stars.

Meadow meets the Jacob twins, Jared and Justin, when they are young kids.  She is neglected by her mother, and quickly forms a bond with the brothers she spends her summer with.  The boys and Meadow are soon inseparable, they do everything together, and would do anything for her, and soon love develops.  Meadow falls in love with both brothers for different reasons, as both brothers are very different.  One is her soul mate, the other her confidante.  All too soon their world is torn apart, can they survive all the turmoil, and who will win Meadow’s heart?

If you're looking for a book that is intense, full of drama, and has plot twists you never see coming, you will love this story.  It may have been the first Ker Dukey book I’ve read, but it won’t be the last.

Author bio:



I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters. I wanted to be an actress growing up so I could live many roles but I learned early on that my mind was too active, I would want to change the script. I would watch films and think of ways they could of improved the story if they took another direction.


My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light, some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling too.


When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life, but when I do get down time, I love attending music concerts with my younger sister, who shares my reading soul, we are two peas in a pod.
