DESCRIPTION: #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover returns with a new heart-wrenching love story.
ugly love_cover_FINAL

When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn’t think it’s love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.
Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.
They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.
Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

Review

“It’s Intense. It’s heartbreaking. It’s devastating. It's ugly. It's over.”

Ugly Love is not your typical Colleen Hoover book.  It’s different than anything she has ever done….she gutted me.  I’m sorry, I have to say that Miles is no Will Cooper, and you know what? That’s okay because Miles character has been hurt, he is wrecked….and the alternating timeline, flipping from the present and past, shows just how deep Miles wounds run.  Although, the past got to be a little bit much for me, I completely got the reason why Colleen did this.  4 stars...4.5 stars....how do I rate a book I can't stop thinking about?

"I can't give you more than this," he whispers as a warning.  I just can't."

Right from the beginning you will immediately be immersed in Ugly Love, and it’s clear right from the start Miles has experienced some kind of devastation.  Tate and Miles meet and there is an attraction between them, an attraction that results in an “arrangement”.  This arrangement means, no strings attached sex…no feeling.  Both Tate and Miles are okay with this in the beginning, but eventually Tate struggles to not cross that line are set, after all Miles makes it clear that he does not want a relationship, he is not capable of love or giving her a future.
"Sometimes a man's spirit just ain't strong enough to withstand the ghosts from his past." He opens his apartment door and walks inside.  "Maybe that boy just lost his spirit somewhere along the way."

Oh the angst…my heart broke for Tate. I wanted her to push Miles, I wanted her to get him to open up to her…go Tate go *le sob* With Tate's pushing and the more and more time Miles and Tate spend together their relationship starts to get blurred....hearts are shattered….and love…well love gets Ugly.

This is Miles.  Miles isn't capable of love.  Not anymore, anyway.

Ugly Love is unique, devastating...a hauntingly beautiful love story.  Simply put….Colleen Hoover is a genius and I will read every book this woman writes…her words are like poetry that flows right off the pages making my little heart pitter patter and need more!
It's all worth it.  It's the beautiful moments like these that make up for the ugly love.
I love you to life.  Because that's exactly what Tate did.  She loved me back to life.
