Where do I begin??

Christian is a student at BU. He's also the college's star hockey player and has passed up a professional career to play one more year at school. He's dealt a horrible, devastating blow that causes him to change in a lot of ways. His life was so bright before and now, it's like the light has been dimmed.

Then January Cooper, a student at Harvard, shows up at his workplace looking for a job and things aren't the same. He doesn't know what hit him; he's intrigued by her and at the same time refuses to feel anything else. These two main characters are from different worlds; Christian's dad is a cop and January was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. I enjoyed the times these two were in the same room. January is not your average girl and doesn't fit the normal stereotyped spoiled rich girl.

January literally has her life flipped upside down and plastered all over the media. And when she "falls from grace", she does a lot of self-discovering and finds out who her friends really are. I could feel her loneliness. But damn, no matter how many times this girl was knocked down, she picked herself back up and dusted herself off. She could have crumbled, but she didn't an I really admired her strength and determination to survive and continue to hold her head up.

Christian and January bring so much to each other's lives. They pieced each other back together again after the amount of time they spent in each other's company. January chips away at the armor that Christian has surrounded himself in. For as much as Christian doesn't want to bare his thoughts, feelings or soul, January manages to get him to open up.

I loved meeting these two and the sub characters. The storyline was one that kept me turning the pages and wanting to see how these two would be at the end. I did find the story a little confusing to follow in the beginning, but once I got past that, I couldn't stop reading. This book has a lot of twists, turns and surprises. It was an enjoyable read.
