Jagger Kennedy never went looking for fame, he just fell into it. After scoring a major modeling contract, his clean-cut good looks and charm catapulted his career. But when his actress girlfriend breaks his heart, he moves to L.A. to try his hand at acting. He’s not looking for love—he just needs to make a change.
Aerie Daniels is a woman in control … until she meets Jagger. Her surprising connection with him leaves her dazed and it’s unlike anything she’s ever felt. But just when she lets her walls fall, she makes a startling discovery about Jagger that breaks her fragile heart into a million pieces.
To keep from losing the woman who’s changing his world, Jagger is willing to give up anything—including his career. But even that might not be enough to regain Aerie’s shattered trust…
DAZED IN GENERAL:
Dazed is a Connections Series Novella but it not necessary to read Connected and Torn prior to reading this. Also it has a beginning, a middle, and an end :)
I love Kim Karr! Did I say I love her??? Yes, I did. Since reading Connected, Torn & now Dazed, I’ll be a fan of hers for as long as I can read.
This story was written flawlessly. I loved meeting Jagger for the first time and how his presence affected Aerie. She’s beginning to experience feelings she hasn’t ever had for a guy before. I mean she has, but never this. She’s also a little ticked off at him and I would be too. You do not mess nor come between a girl and her favorite dessert. And when she meets him later that day at her best friend, Dahlia’s house, well let the sparks begin to fly.
Aerie’s uncle had passed a couple of years ago and now his life is being cast in a screenplay/movie script. While this niece/uncle relationship was a close one, she will find out that here’s a secret she didn’t know about and it starts to bring back memories of a time she’d rather forget. But I felt that she handled this new discovery rather well.
Jagger is hot, sexy and charming in the way he opens Aerie up to experience new things. She’s a little OCD about things, but he manages to get Aerie to “spread her wings” in little doses. I kind of wish that this book was a little longer because I didn’t want to put the book down. I wanted to see how their relationship developed, which it did. And I always want more. This was a quick, short read for me, I had it done within 24 hrs. of downloading, with a day at work thrown in the middle.
River and Dahlia are back in this book because of their “connections” to the main characters. Recommend to read and since it’s been a year or more since I read Connected, I think I’m going to re-read it, just because I love how I feel when I find a great story and I do remember that I really, really liked it.
