A Whole New Crowd by Tijan ~ Blog Tour

Taryn grew up in a different world. Her boyfriend was a criminal. His older brother was part of a gang. They weren't great people, but they were her family. Then everything changes when she's sent to a new family in the neighboring town. New family. New friends. A new world. She's elated. This is her chance for a new beginning, but secrets start being revealed and Taryn learns her new life has some ties to her old one, ties that she's not happy about. Her new family might not have been the lucky break she thought she had.

Then he nodded. “Congratulations.”
“On what?”
“You earned their respect.”
I snorted. “I don’t care.”
“I know.” A smile teased at the corners of his lips. “They saw that too and because of that, they fear you now.”

“I may be an asshole, but I’m an asshole you can trust.” He smirked as he reached behind him and then placed a cold bottle in my hand. “I promise.” He took my other hand and led me back downstairs.
Maybe it wasn’t a great decision, but I gave in. The fight was always in me to survive and for once, I didn’t want to fight. I wanted to be watched over. If he volunteered for that position, so be it. Brian never watched over me. I watched over him and Jace had rarely been around.
When he sat on the couch, I curled up next to him and enjoyed my place among his group of friends. As the morning and afternoon passed by, I heard and saw the respect they had for Tray. They listened when he spoke. Everyone turned to him and no one ignored him. They genuinely liked him.
People had never genuinely liked Brian or Jace. Jace was feared. He was respected, but I didn’t know if anyone in his life liked him. It was the opposite for Brian. He was tolerated. He was a hothead. No one knew when he would explode and so he earned a reputation as being unpredictable. He was met with caution wherever he went.
It was an alien feeling, watching this different world unfold before me.
I liked it.

Genre: A New Adult/Adult Contemporary Romance novel
Amazon UK: TBD
RELEASE DATE: August 21st 2014
They say men like a lady in the living room and a whore in the bedroom. I never knew the sentiment was reciprocal. Until I met Jax Knight. A gentleman in public, a commanding, dirty talking rogue in the bedroom.
Daughter of legendary fighter “The Saint,” Lily St. Claire knows firsthand how fighters can be. As the owner of a chain of MMA gyms, she’s no stranger to aggressive, dominating, and possessive men. That’s why she’s always kept her distance. But the day Jax Knight walks through her door she’s captivated by his charm. Stunningly handsome, well mannered, Ivy League educated, and confident, he shatters all the preconceived notions she’d come to think were true about men who trained to fight.
But falling for someone so soon after her breakup wasn’t something she’d planned on. And definitely not something her ex plans to allow.

5 Stars

I have found myself eagerly awaiting each of the books in this series. I'm hooked! Vi Keeland pens a story that is written in a way that I get caught up in these characters and want/need to keep reading and I don't want to put the damn book down.

This is Jackson's story. I highly recommend reading this series in order. In the previous book "Worth the Chance", we found out who the father of Vince Stone was. The breaking of this news has put Jackson's family in the spotlight because his father is a Senator, one, and two, he's about to run for re-election. Jax is doing his best to avoid all of the hoop la and he's not speaking to his father at this time and decides to head off to NYC. He's thinking that a change of location may help him in hiding but he's also there to work out the details in buying out half ownership of Ralley's Gyms. While scoping out one of the locations in NYC, he meets Lily St. Claire, part owner of the gyms. Needless to say, he's intrigued by her. She's smart, artistic, funny and dedicated to carrying on the gym's tradition. Her father and her Uncle Joe started the gym(s), but with her father's passing, she's now co-owner. Her uncle has decided to retire and this is where Jax comes in.

This story will pull you in because it not only has the chemistry factor between the two main characters, great dialogue between Jax/Lily, MMA fighting, Jax having his first bout, an ex-boyfriend that's a major jerk that doesn't understand the meaning "it's over", Lily's best friend, Reed, all the drama going on in Jax's family, but Jax & Vince coming to terms with their relationship to each other. Worth Forgiving has a lot more to offer you, but I've decided to not give too much away. I want you to pick up this series, if you haven't read it yet. I really, really liked it! Vi Keeland, "Thank you!" for giving me an "escape" from my crazy days! I look forward to reading more from you.

It didn't matter that the ref called it a clean hit. Nico Hunter would never be the same.

Elle has a good life. A job she loves, a great apartment, and the guy she's been dating for more than two years is a catch and a half. But it's boring...and she strives to keep it that way. Too many emotions are dangerous. Her own past is living proof of what can happen when you lose control.

Then Nico walks into Elle's office and everything changes...for both of them. But what can the tattooed, hard-bodied MMA fighter and the beautiful and always steady attorney have in common? A lot more than they bargained for.

***Author's note*** THIS IS A STAND-ALONE NOVEL. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Meet Liv Michaels
It may have been seven years, but I'd know him anywhere. Sure, he's grown, filled out in all the right places, but his captivating blue eyes and cocky grin are exactly the way I remember. Even though I'd much rather forget.

Liv Michaels is almost there. She's smart, determined and weeks away from landing the job she's dreamed about for years. Time healed old wounds, even her broken heart from the devastation of being crushed by her first love.

Meet Vince Stone
Women love a fighter, especially a good one. Lucky for me, I'm damn good. But there's one woman that isn't interested. Not again, anyway.

Vince 'The Invincible' Stone is every woman's fantasy...strong, sexy, confident and completely in control. Growing up surrounded by chaos, he's learned never to get too attached. Love will drag you down. He adores women, treats them well, puts their own needs before his own...for the night anyway. With the biggest fight of his life coming up, his focus should be on training.

When fate brings Vince & Liv back together again, there's no denying the chemistry is still there. But can Vince erase the old scars their past left behind? Or will Liv hurt him instead?

***Author's note*** THIS IS A STAND-ALONE NOVEL. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the 18.

Vanquish by Pam Godwin ~ Blog Tour and Giveaway

Warning: Graphic sex and violence. Age 18+ only
It is recommended to read after Deliver, but it can be read as a stand-alone.

Her life is like a prison cell.
A self-made, to-hell-with-the-free-world existence that locks from the inside.
Stop judging. Her agoraphobia doesn’t define her. It simply keeps her safe.

He belongs in a prison cell.
The 6x8, make-me-your-bitch variety that locks from the outside.
But he’s free. To hunt. To take. To break.
And he just found a sexy new toy.

Capturing her is the easy part. Her fucked-up mind, however, makes him question everything he does next.
But he’s a determined bastard. If all goes his way, this will hurt like hell.

I really wish I would have had Vanquish months ago when I was going through my major book funk….it would have quickly pulled me out of it.  I instantly became engrossed in this story! I had this love/hate relationship with Van and this obsession with Amber.  I was so fascinated to read about her agoraphobia, her OCD, her little quirks.  The amount of detail and depth that Pam put into this book and the characters was simply brilliant and as someone who works in healthcare my mind was instantly on alert to look for flaws…there were none…it was PERFECT!  I also must mention there was not one thing I did not like about this story…it was so well written.  5 stars.

He was a kidnapper, a rapist, and she ached to be repulsed by him, just to prove she was sane, but she couldn't. And she wasn't. His scarred beauty radiated seduction and danger, a deadly combination.

*If you haven’t read Deliver yet, you really should before Vanquish as Vanquish will spoil some of the story line for you.*

Van is still reeling and trying to recover from losing Liv in Deliver.  Every night he goes and watches Liv and Josh.  He wants to win Liv back and also somewhat redeem himself to be able to meet their daughter.  It is there he runs into Amber. He thinks her house is abandoned, not expecting this beautiful introverted girl who suffers from multiples disorders, who can’t leave the house to be living inside.  There is something about Amber that grabs Van’s attention…maybe it is her feisty nature in spite of all her oddities but something drawls Van to Amber.  Van finds himself completely fixated on this mysterious woman and soon makes it his mission to try and “fix” Amber and help cure her of all her issues.  This begins the beginning of the battle….Van forcing Amber out of her comfort zone, him not giving up, Van being cruel, and Amber fighting him tooth and nail.  The road for these two will not be easy…but it never is for two broken people.

"When I met her, I wanted to pick apart her freaky little agoraphobic mind and play with the pieces. I wanted to become her obsession, her solitary devotion, her fear, but along the way, she picked me apart. I'm the one who is obsessed, devoted…scared."

Gahhh…I loved this book…I loved the epilogue! I highly recommend you read all of Pam’s books.  Vanquish is my favorite of hers and one of my favorites this year….real, raw, edgy, thrilling, a push-your-boundaries type of dark romance!

*Reviewed by Brandi

He stalked toward her, mirroring the tilt of her head, knees and shoulders loose, and his gaze holding her prisoner. A breath away, he paused, soaking in the subtleties of her tipped-up chin, parting lips, and glossy but resolute eyes.

With the next breath, he launched, hands on her jaw, fingers spread around the back of her head.

His elbows dropped, shoulders raised, and he yanked her to him, lifting her on tiptoes, guiding her mouth, taking it. His grip twisted through her hair as he drew in her upper lip and shoved her against the fridge, following her with the weight of his body.

The kiss went fucking wild, their lips mashing in a frantic battle. His tongue plunged her mouth, attacking, thrusting in and out, possessing her movements, owning her. Breath for breath, lick after lick, he ate at her mouth, tasting, devouring.

He dropped his hands to her breasts, squeezing ruthlessly as he rolled his cock against her cunt.

His tongue tingled, his skin burned, and his head swam. God, she was a drug, and he was so fucking high.

She gripped his biceps, bit at his lips, and threw her arms over his shoulders, her fingers scratching the fuck out his back. He shuddered, loving it, but he was in control.

Reaching back, he grabbed her wrists and slammed them above her head. Their bodies ground together, his forearms pressing hers to the fridge, their tongues dancing and clashing. Chest-to-chest, hips fused together, he flexed his ass, dry humping her like a horny teenager.

Jesus, fuck, he didn't care. He wanted her.

He leaned back to study her face and found strong smoldering eyes, sharp breaths, and swollen wet lips. Whatever she saw in his expression made her mouth chase his and her fingers curl around his hands. They kissed endlessly, fueling the fire and pushing his control long past the point of discomfort before pulling back and starting all over again.

When he broke the kiss with a hand on her jaw, they panted as one, mouths open and so close their bottom lips brushed. She peered at him through lowered lashes, and he stared back in awe. What trembled between them wasn't an if? Or even a how hard? Those were foregone. The question they shared was simple.

indebted tour banner.pngdebt inheritance cover.jpg

“I own you. I have the piece of paper to prove it. It’s undeniable and unbreakable. You belong to me until you’ve paid off your debts.”

Nila Weaver’s family is indebted. Being the first born daughter, her life is forfeit to the first born son of the Hawks to pay for sins of ancestors past. The dark ages might have come and gone, but debts never leave. She has no choice in the matter.

She is no longer free.

Jethro Hawk receives Nila as an inheritance present on his twenty-ninth birthday. Her life is his until she’s paid off a debt that’s centuries old. He can do what he likes with her—nothing is out of bounds—she has to obey.

There are no rules. Only payments.

A modern day Dark Erotic Romance

Excerpt: Debt Inheritance:  Meet Jethro & Nila
ONE - Nina's POV
Huge disappointment, Ms. Weaver.” His cold glare sent a snowstorm wiping away the bonfire in my belly. “I’m done playing games, so cut the bullshit. Time to begin the day.” His voice gave no room for interpretation. A cold draft shot down my back.
My brief reprieve from debts and horrible Hawks was over. I’d been shown something I desperately wanted, but denied it because I failed to please him.
“You could teach me…show me how…” I couldn’t make eye contact with him. Mortification painted my cheeks for both admitting I was clueless and asking a monster to coach me.
Jethro laughed. “You think that will save you from what’s coming? Was that your little plan? To make me fuck you in the hopes I might feel something for you?”

Well….this one was definitely not my favorite Pepper Winters book.  There is nothing sweet and romantic about Indebted Inheritance, our hero (can we even call Jethro that?) shows no remorse, no feelings….the story was gritty, dark, and raw. Quite frankly, I struggled with parts of the book; there were quite a few things that just didn’t work for me.  That didn’t stop me from reading though…. other parts of the book chilled me to my bone and thrilled me.  3.5 stars.
Lovers of super dark reads….you will love this one.  Go into this book completely blind.  Be warned you will have to get through about 5 more installments before Nila and Jethro’s story is complete.
